    المكتبات الوقفية في الحضارة الإسلامية ودورها في تطوير البحث العلمي

    تميّزت الحضارة الإسلامية بحبّها للكتاب وتقديرها له، ونشرها المعرفة عن طريق الكتب، وإنشائها المكتبات العامة والخاصة، وتعميم هذه المكتبات في كلّ البلاد الإسلامية، ولكلّ سكانها دون اعتبار للدين أو الجنس أو اللون أو العمر أو الثقافة. وكان الوقف على إنشاء المكتبات وتجهيزها هو الطريقة العملية المثلى التي اعتمدت عليها الحضارة الإسلامية في نشر العلم وتطوير البحث العلمي. فأصبح من المعتاد وجود مكتبة في كل مدرسة أو جامع، أو مستشفى أو دار علم أو خانقاه وقفا لطلبة العلم وللباحثين، توفر مادة علمية يستند إليها المعلم والمتعلم في وقت واحد، وتكون عدّة الباحث في بحوثه العلمية وتطويرها. Islamic civilization characterized by her love and appreciation for the book, dissemination of knowledge through books, establishment of public and private libraries, and the mainstreaming these libraries in every Islamic country. Waqf of establishing and equipping libraries has been the optimal way process that has adopted by the Islamic civilization in the dissemination of science and the development of scientific research. It has usually become to find a library in every school, a mosque, a hospital, house knowledge or Khanqah as a Waqf for science students and researchers
