    إن ممارسة الطب والعلاج مهنة نبيلة ، كانت ولازالت وسيلة لتخفيف الآم الناس ومعاناتهم والحفاظ على صحة المجتمع. إلا إن خضوعها لخدمة الأغراض السياسية خلال الفترة الاستعمارية في الجزائر(1830-1962) افقدها الهدف الإنساني لهذه ألمهنة لتصبح أداة في يد الإدارة الاستعمارية استغلتها في نشر ألمسيحية و تسريب أفكار الحضارة الأوروبية، وبسط الهيمنة الفرنسية على المجتمع الجزائري مما جعل الطب والعلاج مظهرا من مظاهر الاستعمار. Résumé en anglais: At all times, providing medical treatment to people was one of the most noble activity, in a manner that doctors work on curing pain and suffer of the human being, and promoving the health situation of the society. However , the french administration, during the colonisation era (1830/1962), used the health care policy as a tool to serve the objectives of the occupation, which are essentially, the spread of christianity among the muslim people, promoving the european civilization, and setting the french hegemony all over the algérian society. As a consequence the health care became a destructive aspect of the colonialism.
