Item Algeria's Healthcare Spending(جامعة الوادي University of Eloued, 2025-03-01) Meklat ,Atmane; Kandi, NabilAlgeria's health spending has evolved substantially over the past few decades, mirroring the nation's economic and social shifts. Given its heavy dependence on oil, Algeria's healthcare budget has been highly sensitive to fluctuations in crude oil prices. Recent oil price shocks have necessitated cuts in public health spending. While these developments are underway, the global context is marked by significant variations in health spending. Algeria stands out among its MENA and middle-income counterparts by devoting a relatively higher proportion of its GDP to health, surpassing the regional average. However, this level remains below that of developed countries. Nevertheless, Algeria's health spending demonstrates efficiency, resulting in health outcomes that rival those of developed countries, even with fewer resources.Item Algeria’s Path To Sustainable Tourism Development(جامعة الوادي University of Eloued, 2025-03-01) Zerouati, Maouahib; Boukhaoua ,AsmaTourism is a critical sector for economic diversification, environmental conservation, and cultural exchange. This paper examines Algeria's performance in the 2024 Travel & Tourism Development Index (TTDI), with a special focus on Travel & Tourism Sustainability. Algeria ranks 98th globally, showing modest progress in environmental and socioeconomic impact but faces challenges with sustainable tourism demand and infrastructure gaps. Through an in-depth examination of Algeria’s sustainability performance and comparison with regional peers Tunisia and Morocco, the study offers insights into policies needed to promote sustainable growth. Recommendations include promoting green tourism, improving accessibility, and leveraging ecotourism to establish Algeria as a resilient tourism destination.Item Comparative Analysis Of Private Sector Financing Forecasting In Algeria(جامعة الوادي University of Eloued, 2025-03-01) Dermechi ,Feriel; Zakane, AhmedThis article conducts a forecasting analysis of private-sector financing in Algeria based on two distinct methods. The time series studied is the share (% of GDP) of credit allocated to the private sector, covering the annual period from 1964 to 2023. The two forecasting methods employed are exponential smoothing and ARIMA modelling. The results show that the forecasting method by exponential smoothing provides stable forecasts in the short and/or medium term by underestimating major economic shocks. In contrast, the ARIMA approach generates more dynamic forecasts, effectively capturing unpredictable variations. Theoretically, the financial analysis is guided by the works of Box and Jenkins on ARIMA modelling, highlighting the adaptability and precision of this method for adjusting economic policies. In conclusion, combining the two approaches would allow for a more robust evaluation of private-sector financing in Algeria while emphasising the importance of accurate data for reliable economic forecasting.Item Econometric Study Of How Exchange Rate Fluctuations Affect Economic Growth In Algeria (1990-2022)(جامعة الوادي University Of Eloued, 2024-03-01) Ghedjati Abdelhamid; Almi HassibaThis paper does an econometric analysis to investigate the relationship between changes in exchange rates and Algerian economic growth from 1990 to 2022. This paper examines previous data to determine how exchange rate swings affect Algeria's economy, emphasizing its export dependency. The research examined immediate and long-term exchange rate- Gross Domestic Product (GDP) connections using an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. The model's stability and optimal time delay are assessed in the early tests. The ARDL limits testing method confirms a cointegrating connection, demonstrating a stable long-term balance between variables. An initial study shows that the exchange rate negatively impacts economic development, exposing the difficulties of imported inflation and currency instability. The study reveals no significant effects, proposing separating nominal and real aspects over more extended periods. These results help policymakers understand how exchange rate policies affect economic growth.Item ?protected Areas In Algeria: Which Tourism Potential(جامعة الوادي University of Eloued, 2024-09-01) Kahoul BesmaProtected areas are no longer a simple ecological issue but are considered coherent territorial spheres that can participate in population’s development in varying degrees. These areas can therefore bring economic and social benefits, besides their conservation’s beneficial effects, through various activities, of which tourism is one of the most important. The network of protected areas in Algeria covers a significant surface of the national territory, covering all of the ecosystems (at least 20 protected areas cover more than 40% of the territory) and constituting tourist assets that should be valorized. In this context, our research aims to examine various touristic forms that can be developed within the protected areas of Algeria by guaranteeing profitable tourist activity without harming nature.Item The Relationship Between Institutions(جامعة الوادي University of Eloued, 2025-03-01) Chib, Amina Djazia; Zine, YounesThis study discusses the relationship between institutions and the adoption of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Algeria SMEs. This study introduces several key factors that condition the interplay between institutions and CSR. Based on the evidence from the case study METAGAV, we understand that the role that institutions play in encouraging CSR practices can be both formal and informal, and reflects cultural values. This collaborative role required at the intersection of institutional constraints, stakeholders, and local firms to work towards the development of a unique environment
