    L’image de la société telle que la donnent à voir les romans inauguraux des années 50 d’expression française montre la faiblesse quasi globale du niveau de vie des opprimés et la précarité sociale à laquelle ils semblent être unanimement condamnés. Dans leurs œuvres, nos romanciers ont montré que l’institution répressive française n’hésite pas de sitôt à utiliser abusivement la force et la violence pour maintenir l’ordre de la domination. Les thèmes tabous traités sont liés aux cruciaux problèmes de la société maghrébine traditionnelle. Ces derniers rassemblent tous les centres d’intérêt de notre société peinte par ces écrivains d’élite. The image of society as shown in the inaugural novels of the 50s of French expression shows the almost global weakness of the standard of living of the oppressed and the social precariousness to which they seem to be unanimously condemned. In their works, our novelists have shown that the French repressive institution does not hesitate any time soon to use force and violence abusively to maintain the order of domination. The taboo themes dealt with are related to the crucial problems of traditional Maghreb society. The latter bring together all the interests of our society painted by these elite writers.
