    يحاول هذا المقال بيان دور النقد الإعلامي في تنمية الوعي المجتمعي سيما من خلال التعرض للنقد ‏الإعلامي وإمكانيات مساهمته في الوعي المجتمعي، فضلا على محاولة إبراز الأهمية المتزايدة لدور ‏النقد خصوصا في ظل التطورات التكنولوجية من جهة والمخاطر والتهديدات التي تحملها في ثناياها ‏من جهة.‏ ‎ ‎المقال يأخذ طابعا نظريا ويستند على عدد من الأفكار والمعارف التي من شأنها تبسيط فهم العلاقة ‏بين النقد الإعلامي والوعي المجتمعي وإبراز الدور الذي يمكن أن يؤديه النقد الإعلامي في تنمية ‏الوعي المجتمعي.‏The present article tries to explain the media criticism’s role in developing societal awareness. The article demonstrates, briefly, the media criticism’s evolution and its possibilities to contribute in societal awareness. Also, we try to put light on the increasing importance of criticism’s role especially in light of technological developments and the risks and threats that contain. This article is a theoretical contribution based on a number of ideas and knowledge. It tries to simplify the relationship between media criticism and societal awareness, and also highlighting the criticism’s role that media can play in developing community awareness.
