The Elhadaiek plain currently has relatively large water resources, which are represented by groundwater from the Alluvion water table and surface water. In recent years, an economic boom, particularly in agriculture, has taken place, which has, on the one hand, led to an increase in water requirements and, on the other hand, has caused the deterioration of water quality. Following an analysis of the current situation of the aquifer and its reservoir, an action program was designed to conduct this groundwater reserve and resource assessment. We were able to study the evolution of hydrogeological and physicochemical parameters during the campaign (2016). Data processing and representation were conducted using modern tools: - the description of the geometry and the structure of the aquifers, realized thanks to the geophysical study, which shows that the free surface layer consists of sands, pebbles and gravels, with a thickness of the permeable layer is more important reached (35 m). It is fed mainly from infiltration of precipitation and sub-basins nearby. - The chemical quality of the water that is eligible for mediocre. - the presence of some pollutants, originating from agricultural activities. - The results obtained from the regulating reserve (2.2 hm3) obtained by the stripping of the fluctuation chart of the free water table are lower than those deduced from the difference between the total and permanent reserve. The exploitation of the water table for the needs of EPA and irrigation represented by the extracted flows (0.62 hm3) is lower than the regulatory reserve. These parameters of the water table balance also make it possible to conclude that the water resource is not fully exploitable because of the existence of the surface water resource such as dams, hollows and wadis.
