The purpose of this research is to clarify the personal traits of the characters according to their roles, actions and reactions, and to give readers an idea of who the characters are and what roles they play in the novel. A descriptive analytical method is followed.The primary data for the study were taken from the novel Little Bee as the basis for the analysis of the novel's personal characters. The secondary data were obtained from other readings.The data were analyzed using descriptive methods that focused on character personalities. This study consists of two chapters. The first chapter theoretically addresses the historical background of refugee literature. The second chapter includes the biography of the writer Chris Cleave, a summary of the novel, and the characters’ analysis. Therefore, the current study led to the following conclusions; all of the characters in this novel are made up of multiple traits that change according to circumstances, thoughts, and the people around them.
