The following research questions were raised: Is there a statistically significant correlational relationship between self-esteem and psychological adjustment, including its dimensions (personal, familial, and academic), among individuals in the study sample? This question is subdivided into more sub-questions: Is there a statistically significant relationship between self-esteem and psychological adjustment in the study sample? Are there statistically significant differences in self-esteem attributable to the gender variable? Are there statistically significant differences in psychological adjustment attributable to the gender variable? The results were as follows: There is a statistically significant relationship between self-esteem and overall psychological adjustment among individuals in the study sample. There are no statistically significant differences in self-esteem based on the gender variable.
