We conducted a field study by distributing a questionnaire form to patients and doctors. The results showed a high percentage of use for the Ephedra alata plant and the plant,. We con Artemisia herba-alba ducted a biochemical study of the two plants obtained from the Tebessa and El Oued regions. In the A herba a plant, the yield in the organic extract 15.6% was estimated at the highest percentage compared to the aqueous extract 8.6% and oil extract .0.5%, and in the E alata plant, the yield in the methanolic extract was estimated at 13.8% .The results showed that the A herba a plant is rich in primary metabolites compared to the fennel plant, and it was Secondary metabolites in the phenolic content of the methanolic extract of the A herba a plant are at a greater rate than the organic extract of the E alata plant, and the quantitative content of flavonoids of the A herba a E alata plant is at a greater rate than that of the E alata plant. The antioxidant activity was estimated using the DPPH radical with a value of IC50 for the A herba a plant, at a rate greater than the IC50 value for the E alata plant.
