It provides a forward-looking perspective within the context of new growth model policies and industrial strategies designed to diversify the economic structure and reduce dependence on a rentier economy. We employed an analytical approach to examine key milestones in the national economy and the anticipated future role of the industrial sector. The study concludes that the industrial sector faces significant structural challenges.
