Abu Ya`qub ‎Yusuf bin Muhammad al-Musabi ‎was considered a resident of Djerba, one of the ‎scholars of Ibadi in the eleventh and twelfth ‎century AH, where he was born in Malika ‎‎(Wadi Mzab), then settled with his family in ‎Djerba, and contributed to its scientific ‎movement by teaching and writing, as he had a ‎remarkable social presence. To him the ‎sheikhdom of the Azzaba cercle has ended.
