Abstract
يبحث المقال في مسألة الدّعاء بالرّحمة لمن مات على غير ديانة الإسلام؛ كاليهوديّ والنّصرانيّ، وقد اختلف المعاصرون في ذلك بين مجيز ومانع، ومبنى اختلافهم يرتكز حول قبول العمل الصالح من الكافر يوم القيامة وعدم قبوله، وهل يُخفَّف عنه بسبب ذلك أم لا؟، وقد تبيّن لنا أنّ سبب الخلاف يرجع لاختلاف التأويل والتصورات التي انطلق منها كل فريق في بناء الحكم، وليس لثبوت النّصوص أو ضعفها، وقد توصلنا إلى أنّ المسألة خلافية قديمة جديدة، وتحتاج للبحث والدراسة من جديد Abstract: The article discusses the issue of praying for mercy for those who have died in
religions other than Islam, such as Judaism and Christianity. Contemporary scholars disagree over
whether it is permissible or forbidden. Their disagreement is based on whether or not non-Islamic
believers’ good deeds are accepted by Allah on the Day of Judgment. We came to the conclusion
that the conflict is not brought about by the texts being defended or contested, but rather by the
divergent interpretations and viewpoints that each group employed to formulate its position.
Additionally, we have come to the conclusion that more recent research is required because the
issue is both classical and contemporary.
